Kite, in Chinese called Fengzheng, is a kind of folk handicraft as well as a entertainment tool. It is made of slender slips of bamboo as the frame with thin paper plastered and a long thread to fly with.

Historical records show that the first kite was made in the Spring and Autumn Period. But it was not for the purpose of entertainment but military.
